Description
Respo-b syrup is a medication used to treat cough, cold, asthma, bronchitis, sore throat, rhinitis, and other respiratory disorders. It is a combination of active herbs that work together to alleviate symptoms and help manage these conditions.
The active ingredients in Respo-b syrup may include vasa, kanthkari, kakda singi, etc. To relieve nasal congestion, help open the airways and improve breathing, and reduce allergy symptoms. Other ingredients may include cough suppressants to help alleviate coughing and expectorants to help clear mucus from the respiratory tract.
Respo-B syrup usually can be taken by any person, but it’s better if you consult to a physician.
Some main ingredients:
Adhatoda vasica( vasa): The leaves, bark, flowers and roots of the plant have been used widely in traditional systems medicine for hundreds of years especially to treat respiratory conditions such as asthma, coughs and infections of the respiratory tract.
Solanum xanthocarpum( kanthkari): Acharya Charaka and Sushruta used whole plant and its fruits for internal use to treat bronchial asthma, inflammation of the middle ear. The plant is bitter, acrid, hot, anthelmintic, anti-inflammatory, anodyne, digestive, carminative, appetizer, stomachic, depurative, sudorific, febrifuge, expectorant, laxative, stimulant, diuretic, rejuvenating, emmenagogue and aphrodisiac. This plant is non-toxic and safe for human use.
Pistacia integerrima( kakda singi): This herb is also good for resolving respiratory complications. It is good to treat cough and dyspnea. Being bitter and pungent in taste it acts as an expectorant and helps in the clearance of mucus from airways, bronchi, lungs, and trachea. Moreover, it helps to manage the hiccoughs. Hence this herb strengthens the respiratory membrane’s inner lining of the surface
Clerodendrum serratum( bharangi): Bharangi plant has anti-oxidant, anti-microbial, anti-asthmatic, anti-tumor activities. It Pacifies vata and kapha, promotes pitta. In Ayurveda Bharangee is indicated for respiratory problems and used in preparation of various Ayurvedic drugs for curing the same. It has pungent, astringent in taste and hot in potency. It is useful in cough, breathlessness, wound, swelling, the liver problems and neurological disorders. The decoction prepared from its leaves has bronchodilator activities.
Glycyrrhiza glabra Linn Pennel( mulethi): Yashtimadhu has been conventionally used by Ayurveda in the treatment of respiratory and digestive disorders. It is considered to be a “Rasayana”. Mulethi uses specifically include treatment of chronic acidity, ulcers and chronic bronchial conditions. Investigations observed that licorice activates ulcer healing.
